A Time To Hold And A Time To Fold

You have searched out nice treasures and held them till the right time to sell. Well, when is the RIGHT time to sell?

Let me ask you this. Did you buy them for your enjoyment. Did you buy them to brighten up your little corner of the earth? In that case maybe the answer is never. It served and is serving its purpose. So keep those specific items.
Pass them on for another generation to enjoy. (Of course they may toss them).

However, if you bought those treasures for investment you should think about liquidating NOW. Why now you ask. I don't know this for sure but many banks own art that was given to them as collateral and they may think about putting it out there to recoup some of those bad loans. Maybe you want your art and collectibles to already have been sold when they put theirs out there. Even a Picasso can lose its value if there is a lot to chose from. Think about it.
